The Copartnership is a new horizontal organizational form, in which all participants add their unique 'value' to the whole, as involved residents, entrepreneurs, volunteers or customers. Everyone is responsible for their own thoughts and actions. The core values of a partnership are different from those that are ingrained in current legal structures: we are making the step from a revenue model to a sharing model. The Earth Collective has a Foundation and Cooperative as a bridge to the regular legal forms, however, these are at the service of the Copartnership. The Partnership shapes the (day-to-day) course of events and developments.
The core values of the project (the source idea) connects the Partners; residents in an inner circle, directly involved members from the local community and permanent users of the place in the circle beyond. Community connection is very important within the Earth Collective. We work for and with the local population and entrepreneurs.
The Earth Collective is a breeding ground for the development of a sustainable society and new economy.
The Earth Collective sees it as an essential building block that the Earth is set free again, consciously managed and developed by the (enterprising) residents, in alignment with the needs of the (local) community. The health and needs of the Earth, the (local) community and the free human/ entrepreneur are of equal value here. The source idea is further elaborated in the project plan (NL).
All copartners are linked to this source idea and everything we undertake we test against this source.
Within this organizational form you re-connect periodically. You test your personal development needs at the source and consciously choose how you want and can contribute them.
Decisions are made in the form of consultation. When you feel an impulse, you first test it at the source. Then you will consult fellow partners and other parties involved. Everyone has the opportunity to make themselves heard about the idea. After consultation, the impulse bearer makes a conscious choice (within certain financial frameworks).
We give ownership a new status based on the realization that the future generation owns our legacy. Ownership is necessary for feeling and taking responsibility. In order to guarantee the sustainable goals of the Earth Collective, she sees it as essential that the Earth is taken out of personal ownership and placed in a Foundation that guarantees that the Earth will never be put on the market again.
With our project we hope to be a (practical) source of inspiration for people and entrepreneurs, so that they will feel energy and enthusiasm for a more sustainable way of working and living. We believe that people are happier and more successful when they (learn to) live in harmony with their environment.
