Sustainable development

The Earth Collective is a breeding ground for the development of a sustainable society and new economy.

The Earth Collective sees as an essential building block that the needs and health of the Earth, the free human/entrepreneur and the local community/customers are of equal value.

The Earth Collective sees the Earth becoming its own again, free of financial pressure, consciously managed and developed by the (enterprising) residents and the (local) community. Part of the profit made by the Earth Collective flows back to similar projects, so that this flow continues to grow.

The partners/residents together form the basis of a living/working community with companies mainly in the ecological, educational and social fields. In an equal collaboration with volunteers and the local community, they guarantee the sustainable development of the land and the buildings .

The land is designed as a rich (bio)diverse paradise; full of fruit trees, shrubs and vegetable gardens, coppice, ponds and waterways. There will be ceremonial areas in nature for personal development and a paddock paradise for horses fenced with feeding hedges for a richly varied and local diet.

The Earth Collective strives for a local economy. We not only provide ourselves with organic vegetables, seeds, mushrooms and fruit, but also offer the local community the opportunity to purchase food and get involved through (cooperative) subscriptions in the choice and production of the food to be grown. Products that we cannot supply ourselves, we buy as much as possible from local producers.

Knowledge

Knowledge sharing is one of the great values that the Earth Collective will produce. We offer courses and guidance in building food forests, edible landscape and growing food around your home. Ecological advice, design and construction, but also natural crafts and personal development are part of the wealth that the Earth Collective has to share.

Young people are given a special place.
They are the creators of the future. Many young people get stuck within education and social cultures under the high pressure to achieve. When they learn (again) to create from a connection with themselves, the earth and their environment, together we offer a healthy alternative and colorful perspective for the future.

It goes without saying that we use raw materials very consciously. Energy is naturally generated and used very consciously and waste is minimized by working with compostable or reusable materials. For example, the green waste from the vegetable garden forms valuable compost and the horse manure forms valuable soil for growing mushrooms.
