The Earth Collective strives for a new economy and equal forms of society. The regular organization / legal forms do not automatically fit here.
The Earth Collective is building a bridge between the existing and new organizational structures in order to use the value of both in the service of sustainable goals.
For example, land and buildings are placed in a Foundation with clear objectives instead of privately owned.
For example, the goals of the Foundation are shaped in daily practice by the Partnership, a horizontal organizational form.
• Formally purchases and manages the Earth and properties.
• Transfers plots and buildings to Foundation Grond van Bestaan as soon as these debts are released.
• Secures the sustainable objectives.
• Funds sustainable investments.
• Receives donations and takes out loans to enable the purchase / ransoming of the Earth and the sustainable goals.
• Monitors the financial health of the Foundation.
• Has an independent board (remote) with additional expertise.
• Facilitates the Partnership by making the Earth, buildings and sustainable investments available and providing solicited and unsolicited advice.
The Copartnership realizes the goals of the Foundation in daily practice. The Partnership is a new “horizontal” organizational form. The Partnership consists of the residents and directly involved entrepreneurs, local population and volunteers. Here you can read more about the Copartnership.
• Is the legal form in which the Partnership is organized.
• Pays the Earth Collective Foundation a fee for the use of the Earth and buildings.
• Receives compensation from residents and entrepreneurs for the use of the Earth and buildings.
• The board (at a distance) is formed by the enterprising residents.
